The metrics worth watching
Revenue and orders over time. The trend matters more than the total. A steady line is healthy; a sudden dip is a signal to look closer.
This week vs last week. Short-term momentum tells you whether a change you made — new photos, a price tweak, a sale — is working.
Month-over-month growth. Smooths out daily noise and shows the real direction of your shop.
Average order value. Rising AOV means bundling, upsells or pricing are working. Falling AOV is worth investigating.
Top products by revenue. Usually a small number of listings carry the shop. Know them, protect them, and make more like them.
Repeat-buyer rate. Repeat customers are cheaper than new ones. A rising rate means people come back — one of the strongest signs of a healthy shop.
Rising and falling products. Catching a product on the way down early lets you fix photos, tags or pricing before it stalls.
Where your buyers are. Country breakdown informs shipping, pricing and even new product ideas.
